to promote suppliers, usually in the first few weeks of the year. I currently have four in my diary. - A regular venue and definite favourite of mine, especially as they have beautiful gardens for photos, is Kendal’s Castel Green Hotel. Staff there are very experienced and friendly.
Next weekend’s show there will include a handful of high quality suppliers, including myself as well as decorated function rooms.

Holiday Inn Lancaster. Wedding Showcase 11-2 on 12th February.
2. Lancaster’s Holiday Inn is another great venue for a wedding. It’s right next to the motorway, has been fairly recently refurbished and has nice spots for photos at the back, amongst the trees and down by the river.
Their Wedding Showcase is on Sunday 12th February (11-2). It’s a more intimate event, so perfect if you want an opportunity to chat about wedding photography and look through sample albums. Morecambe Golf Club Wedding Open Day.
3. Morecambe Golf Club are perfectly situated on the edge of town and boast fabulous views from the front door across Morecambe Bay to the Lakeland Fells as well as over the attractive course. They are having a Wedding Open Day on Sunday 19th February from 12 – 2pm and say ‘Come and join us for our first Wedding Show of 2023 in collaboration with Purple Swan Venue Stylists, where you will have an exclusive preview of all the trends for the year ahead complementing our ceremony and reception spaces.
‘We are delighted to be working with a wide selection of fabulous local suppliers who will be on hand to talk all things Wedding with you!’
Garstang Country Hotel. Wedding Fayre Sunday 5th March.
4. Another great wedding venue and regular haunt of mine for many years is Garstang Country Hotel. You will find a sample album of mine in the foyer too. Chris, Julie and Anne are highly experienced with weddings and great at working with couples. The venue has lovely gardens for photos with plenty of space, as well as a golf course at the back. They have two big wedding fayres every year and the first is on Sunday 5th March (12-3). There will be lots of quality local suppliers and a cat walk.
